The Western Lake Erie Historical Society is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving and protecting the incredibly rich stories of this unique area of the globe. We rely on the bounty of our community and efforts of our membership to continue operation. Now, more than ever, is the time to support WLEHS! We have recently purchased a new building to house our collection and host events.  The extraordinary task of designing an exhibit space lies ahead! There is simply no other organization that focuses on the recreational history of boat design, building, and racing.  There is no other organization that focuses solely on the maritime story of Ohio. It is a noble cause worth maintaining.

By donating below, you are automatically enrolled as a member of the society.  This gets you unlimited access to our museum space and archives. This also gives you input on our activities. Currently, we hope to continue our work in preservation and begin a new line of teaching the lost art of boat building by hand.  We have posted the photography of George King on our Exhibits page because we know that they are one-of-a-kind images that may help others with their blogs, databases, and youtube channels.
